Over the last few weeks, many of the critical parts of the electric arc furnace have been moved into place. Read on to see what is happening this week.
The tilt platform arrived on August 1st, and was transported via equipment specialized to carry wide loads into a construction site.

The furnace's lower shell, which was assembled on the ground in a nearby building, arrived later in the week. Both pieces were lifted and put into place by a crane.
