The first week of June has been full of activities at the EAF construction site. At the melt shop, the crew continues their work on setting parts for the tilt platform, while performing additional iron work at the south end. The cranes at the nearby caster bay have also been removed in preparation to start excavation work for the vacuum tank degasser.

Here is another look at the gas cleaning plant from a different angle. Commonly known as the bag house in the states, the plant is an important part of our electric arc furnace operations by minimizing the impact to the environment.
